What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their homes, schools, and communities. Key Club exists on over 5,000 high school campuses, in over 40 countries, including the United States and Canada.
Key Club members have opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership by performing acts of service in their communities (for example: cleaning up parks, collecting clothing, and organizing food drives). Leadership skills are developed by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district, and international levels.
